MyQuotable.com
Quotes.
Everyone loves them. They show up all over the place:
- Skype Mood Messages
- On your blog
- Yahoo IM mood message
- Email signatures
- iGoogle
When I hear or see a great quote, I like to put it into my Skype Mood Message. When I see another
great quote, I overwrite my previous quote….and it’s gone forever.
I tried saving and organizing my quotes in a blog, a tumblog, in a Word Document, in a markdown file, and none of that worked for me.
That’s why I am creating MyQuotable.com.
If you read my blog, you are invited to my open Alpha. Sign up and start saving quotes.
Some notes before my friends start beating me up for publishing such an incomplete work.
- The site is ROUGH. It’s an alpha.
- I aim to add a new feature every two days. See the list below.
- I have not, and do not plan to put a lot of time into a slick graphical design. Like del.icio.us, I think a simple, light interface is best.
- I want your feedback.
Email me. Or post comments on my blog posts about the site.
Here are the features I plan to add over the next couple weeks, in rough order:
- Search
- Friending / following
- Most Popular
- RSS / XML Syndication
- General Usability overhaul
- Email Signature Javascript widget
- Wordpress plugin
